TDI Open Water Side-Mount

This course will teach you how to conduct independent dives using Side-Mount equipment with single or double cylinders within recreational limits. It is the introductory course for our technical diving courses if you choose the Side-Mount configuration. All skills will be performed in neutral buoyancy and a stationary position. In-water

  • Fundamentals: breathing, buoyancy, trim, awereness

  • Donning & removing SM gear

  • Gas switches

  • Mask failure

  • Basic light management

  • Long hose gas sharing

  • Valve Shut Down Procedure

  • Managing gas hemorrhage

  • Hardware problem solving

  • SMB deployment

TDI Intro to Tech Back-Mount

This course will teach you how to conduct independant dives using Backmounted Doubles within recreational limits. It is the introductory course for our technical diving courses if you choose the Back-Mount configuration. All skills will be performed in neutral buoyancy and a stationary position. Come learn how to Tech Dive in Playa del Carmen!
